The Red Oaks School, incorporated in 1965 as Montessori Children's House School of Morristown, is a not-for-profit 501(c) (3) Tax Exempt New Jersey educational corporation, governed by a Board of Trustees. As a not-for-profit organization, the Board has a set of by-laws which define operational procedures.

The Red Oaks School serving children from Morristown, Cedar Knolls, Morris Plains, Madison, Chatham, Mendham, Florham Park, Summit, Randolph, South Orange, Maplewood and more, is accredited by the American Montessori Society (AMS) and the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools (MSACS).

The Red Oaks School, located in Morris County NJ, is a fully accredited independent private school serving students from early childhood (preschool), kindergarten and 1st grade to 6th grade (elementary).

ROS is a 501 (c)(3) not-for-profit organization.
