The Red Oaks Community

We're a small school. And we like it this way.

Within our walls, there’s intimacy and familiarity. Both, we find, make for a much more inviting learning environment — for our students, of course, but for all our Red Oaks families, too. Because of our size, there is a true feeling of community here at Red Oaks. No one’s a stranger. Red Oaks parents know each other by their first names. They know the names of all their child’s friends and classmates. Their teachers, too. Parents are involved and active with Red Oaks because they are proud of where their children are going to school — gratefully giving back to their child’s educational community, contributing however and whenever they can.

Like being involved?

The Red Oaks is a perfect fit for you. We encourage parents to participate in as many Red Oaks activities, events, and fundraisers as they'd like throughout the year.

Parents Association

A huge part of The Red Oaks School Community is our Parents’ Association. Red Oaks parents automatically become a member of the Parents’ Association (PA). There are no membership dues, nor pressure to fundraise on behalf of the PA. Rather, the PA exists to provide social opportunities for the students, parents, families and staff.

School events and get-togethers

The school calendar is filled with fun activities for all — events, trips and get-togethers that appeal to all ages. Many would not be possible without the support, involvement and enthusiasm of Red Oaks parents.

Share in the Red Oaks school spirit and pride

Simply by volunteering. As a parent, volunteering your time and/or skills builds our community and gives you unique opportunities to be a part of your child’s dynamic education. It also lets you connect and bond with the faculty — as well as other parents and Red Oaks families. Alumni parents frequently tell us they miss the camaraderie enjoyed while at Red Oaks.

Our Parents Education Series

Our education series enables parents to come together to share their concerns and feelings on a variety of topics involving their children. Professional guest speakers are frequently invited to lead the workshops, providing expert advice, guidance and thinking.

Thought about volunteering?

We are always thankful for the generosity of parents and families who lend their extra support to the school. Be a Room Parent. Chaperone a field trip. Help organize an event. Volunteers are needed year-round to ensure the continuation and success of the many school events for our students.
