ABOUT

Red Oaks is an intentionally small independent school that makes a big impact.

We offer a strong, inquiry-based approach to education that balances academic rigor with a thoughtful, caring, and joyful learning environment. Students in Pre-K through Grade 8 progress on a purposeful, cohesive learning journey designed to meet their needs as they grow.

Beginning with Montessori in the early childhood and elementary years, and evolving naturally into a highly regarded International Baccalaureate program in Middle School, our methodology is student-centered, skills-focused, and empowering to children. Our students thrive as they gain knowledge, build self-awareness, and develop independence, guided by their own curiosity about the world around them. Grounded in a compassionate, diverse, and close-knit community, and supported by an exceptional faculty and staff, students broaden their perspectives and grow in confidence. Graduates leave Red Oaks poised for the future — eager to advance their education and lead with empathy, courage, and grace.

The Red Oaks School combines the highest academic standards with the care that young people need. Our intentionally small school graduates students with a strong sense of self, a deep love of learning, and the capacity to make a positive difference in the world.

OUR VISION

Red Oaks demonstrates the power of a small school to make an enduring difference. Through our unwavering commitment to our students—now and always—we shape a brighter future.

OUR VALUES

Curiosity

As lifelong learners, we ask questions, explore the world, change our minds, and listen to others.  Curiosity invigorates us. It expands our perspective and opens new possibilities.

Integrity

We cultivate an inner compass that points toward honesty, responsibility, and care. Integrity directs us to follow through on our commitments, to stand up for what is right, and to use our talents in service of something larger than ourselves.

Connection

From a common humanity that bridges cultures and individual experiences, we engage others with openness, humility, and respect.  We recognize our differences as sources of richness, insight, and strength.

WHO WE ARE

A Red Oaks education is transformative – both in the lives of our students and the communities they touch. Serving Pre K 3 year olds through Grade 8, Red Oaks offers a thoughtfully designed academic journey from Montessori in the early years to the International Baccalaureate in middle school. At each stage, students are challenged to grow their potential through rigorous academics, intentional development of executive function skills, and learning experiences that foster curiosity, connection, initiative, and innovation. To expand student horizons, we provide rich opportunities to explore the arts and athletics, and to engage with the wider community through cultural events and service.

Our Students

are driven by discovery, independent thought, and a deep love of learning.  While no two Red Oaks students are alike, they each contribute to a community that is supportive, dynamic, and impactful.

Our Families

originating from six continents with many individuals speaking multiple languages – form a vibrant, warm, and diverse community. They are vital partners in all that we do.

Our Teachers

are highly qualified, deeply caring, and committed to helping each student grow. They inspire students to push through obstacles, to learn from past experience, to help others, and to strive toward their fullest potential.

Our Graduates

are compassionate leaders, informed by self-awareness, inspired by challenge, and committed to making a difference both locally and globally.
