“Why would I send my child to private school when my local public schools are strong?”  That’s a good question, and I always begin my response by saying that I am a firm advocate of public education. An educated citizenry is fundamental to a working democracy, and so public schools are critical and their success is of utmost importance. But the truth is that your local public school may not always be the best possible fit for your child.
