Position Overview:
The Red Oaks School, a Pre K-8, independent school in Morristown, NJ, is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Early Childhood Classroom Teacher for a Montessori classroom (ages 3-6). This individual will co-teach and collaborate in establishing a nurturing, safe, and organized environment for young children. Key responsibilities include instructing students, planning and implementing lessons, communicating with families, supervising students, and other professional responsibilities such as progress reporting and attending school meetings and events.
Early Childhood Classroom Teacher - Ages 3-6 Montessori Classroom

Key Responsibilities:
- Create a nurturing, stimulating environment that supports each child's growth and development.
- Implement the Montessori curriculum, including preparing and maintaining a Montessori classroom environment that adapts to students’ abilities and needs throughout the school year.
- Plan and lead engaging and developmentally appropriate lessons and activities that promote independence, self-confidence, and a love of learning.
- Observe and assess each child's progress, providing individualized support as needed.
- Communicate regularly with parents/guardians to provide updates on their child's development and progress.
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to create a cohesive and supportive educational environment.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to continue learning and growing as an educator.
- Fulfill professional duties, which include, but are not limited to, attending special events, writing communications and progress reports, speaking with potential families, and conducting procedures.
Qualifications and Core Competencies:
- Montessori Early Childhood (3-6) Certification, from an AMS-accredited training center preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
- Previous experience working with children aged 3-6 in a Montessori setting.
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, parents/guardians, and other staff members.
- Demonstrated capacity to learn and grow throughout one's career.
- Strong understanding of child development and the Montessori philosophy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Overview:
The Red Oaks School, a PreK–8 independent school in Morristown, NJ, is seeking a Middle School Administrative Assistant. This position plays a vital role in the daily life of the school, supporting the smooth operation of our Middle School while serving as a warm, organized, and welcoming presence for students, families, faculty, and visitors.
As the first point of contact for many families and visitors to the Middle School, and often the first voice heard when someone calls the campus, the Middle School Administrative Assistant helps shape the daily experience of our community. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, flexible, patient, and kind, with strong communication skills, sound judgment, and a genuine enjoyment of working in a school environment with middle school students. Full benefits are included, as well as reduced hours for the summer.
Responsibilities:
- School Administrative Support: Support the year-round administrative needs of the school, including summer communications, preparation for the opening of school, record updates, ordering and supply coordination, and other operational tasks that help prepare the Middle School for the year ahead.
- Support for the Middle School Division: Support the daily work of the Middle School by assisting with attendance, scheduling, calendaring, field trip logistics, student forms and records, divisional supplies, and other needs that help teachers, students, and families move smoothly through the school day.
- Reception and Family Communication: Serve as a warm and welcoming first point of contact for families, students, visitors, and callers, helping to create a calm, organized, and professional front-office environment that reflects the mission and values of the school.

This position plays a vital role in the daily life of the school, supporting the smooth operation of our Early Childhood and Elementary Division while serving as a warm and welcoming presence for students, families, faculty, and visitors.
As the first point of contact for many families during drop-off and pick-up, and often the first voice heard when someone calls the school, the Lower School Administrative Assistant helps shape the daily experience of our community. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, flexible, patient, and kind, with strong communication skills and a genuine enjoyment of working in a school environment with young children.
This is a 10-month position with school holidays and summers off. Full benefits are included.
Responsibilities:
- School Administrative Support: Provide broad administrative support to ensure the smooth daily operation of the school, including maintaining records, supporting office systems, and managing supplies.
