Join us for a 45 minute weekly creative lesson in the foundations of dance. This combination class of Tap and Ballet follows a curriculum proven to help your little one increase their confidence while being supported in a safe and encouraging environment. Children will start class out in tap learning basics like marches and heel digs, along with traditional tap steps like shuffles and ball change. Then the children will change into ballet shoes, learning exercises, stretches, balance, and circle games.

Get ready for Mad Science Adventures, the ultimate after-school program where young scientists mix, bubble, and fizz their way through thrilling experiments! Kids will solve mysteries like detectives, build wild machines, uncover movie magic, and dive into the science behind toys and weather—all while sparking curiosity and making discoveries that will blow their minds!

Move like you’re made of color. In Imagination Station your body becomes the brush, the space your canvas. Dance, express, and create art with every gesture. Can you dance a famous painting? What would a famous painting look like through movement? All lessons are based on the four elements of creative movement: body, space, force and time. The International Chess Academy chess program instructs students on how to think logically and creatively! Students will partake in chess strategy lessons, solve problems to improve their tactical ability and foresight, and hone their skills with supervised practice games. There will also be opportunities for teamwork to emphasize the power and importance of respecting and building upon the ideas of others. Our coaches all have many years of experience in working with kids of all ages and creating a fun and engaging atmosphere in which to teach chess Students will learn all about chess and will love the game!

We’re excited to announce a chorus for students in Lower and Upper Elementary! Led by Ms. Melissa, rehearsals will take place on Tuesdays from 3:30-4:00 pm. Students will focus on building strong choral skills, developing healthy singing habits, and preparing music for performance. Session One of Chorus will run from September 16th through December 16th, culminating in a presentation as part of the Red Oaks Winter Performing Arts Night on Thursday, December 18th. We are looking forward to building this wonderful group of singers!

Students who are participating in Chorus will be dismissed from school at 3:15 to childcare. They will then transition to Chorus at 3:30. Please sign up by Friday, September 12, 2025.

Tumbling training is a skill builder creating flexibility and upper body strength. Tricks such as handstands, cartwheels and rolls are taught. As levels progress, walkovers & handsprings are introduced.

Stop-motion movies bring imaginations to life! This STEAM workshop allows students to play and learn through hands-on exploration using technology and sharing ideas. They are empowered to be creators, not consumers of digital media. The program includes drawing and making artwork to illustrate ideas and stories. In Animation Station all students are learning executive function skills too! As they move through the design process, they use creative brainstorming, plan out animation movements with math, collaborate with their peers, and become creative problem-solvers! Students create movies, record voices, narrate stories, and celebrate the finished works by watching the movies together at the end of the program. Perfect for both students new to stop-motion animation and students who have previously created movies and want to expand their skills!There are always new stories to tell and bring to life!

Whether they're jungle animals learning to talk or astronauts blasting off into space, every visit to the Imaginarium is a brand-new adventure!

Imaginarium is a joyful and dynamic theatre games class designed just for young adventurers in Grades 1&nThis Soccer clinic is designed to introduce players to the key techniques of dribbling, passing, control and shooting through structured exercises, taking these techniques and focusing on each aspect during a session in order to get a better understanding while improving skills. Students will also use these techniques during small-sided scrimmages, one V one situations, and real game scenarios. Our goal is to improve all aspects of soccer and how to use the skills in a fun and exciting way.

Mark Franklin brings his expertise to Red Oaks. A seasoned British soccer coach with a deep-rooted passion for the beautiful game, Soccer! Coach Mark brings over 20 years of experience from both playing himself, private, and group sessions to child development and semi-professional club management. Known for a commitment to player growth, fun engaging sessions, multiple touches on the ball, and learning how to enjoy the sport whilst learning lots of new skills. And most of all enjoying soccer!

Pickleball and badminton club is open to all students in Grade 3-8 who wish to develop their serving, forehand, and backhand shots, and receiving skills while developing a greater understanding of the rules and strategies employed in the respective games.  They will use these skills and knowledge in a variety of games and activities, including singles and doubles play, mini-tournaments, and more. 

*Upon afternoon dismissal, registered Upper Elementary students will be bussed from the Lower School to the Middle School.

Climbing club is open to all students in Grade 3-8 who wish to develop the skills, knowledge, and strength necessary to engage in the sport of climbing. It will feature a stations-based approach to learning about different aspects of climbing, including safety and climbing etiquette, route planning, types of holds, hand and foot placement on the wall, and strength training.  Students will be using the bouldering wall in the Middle School Gymnasium to develop their skills, and trips to local climbing gyms may be planned to give students additional opportunities to put their skills to use.
