Impressive ERB Scores at Red Oaks!
The ERB's (Educational Record Bureau Examinations) are administered annually to Red Oaks students in Grades 2-8. The purpose of the testing is to give our teachers, administrators, and parents a snapshot of every child's performance on a standardized test. The ERB scores should never be used as a stand-alone method of assessment; they are part of a comprehensive evaluation process which together can summarize a child's progress.
But, just so you know, for many years our test scores as a school have been outstanding! In every subtest and at every grade, our median percentile score exceeds suburban public schools and other independent schools! While individual performance may vary, this is clear evidence that our students are high achieving.
What makes this fact particularly sweet is that the results reflect our mission, "to develop each child's gifts by inspiring personal and intellectual growth, graduating high-achieving students who are happy, confident, resilient, and ready for the challenges ahead.
