Our Middle School Robotics team Octo 3.14… finished strong at this past weekend’s 2018 FLL Northern State Competition! Held at Mount Olive High School, the competition was composed of the top 80 teams out of 400 teams that advanced on from regionals. Octo’s robot performance ranked 25th out of over 400 teams throughout New Jersey! The team also competed in the judging rooms for their design of the robot, research project, and teamwork. Octo 3.14... did a fabulous job before the judges in all categories! Congratulations to Octo 3.14... members: Thomas Chou, Ian Elias, Aarush Jain, Rose Luciano, Cydney Slaughter, and Christopher Yermack!

Sincere thanks to our coaches and volunteers: Pam Heinrich, Claire Banks-Elias, and Michael Dmytriw for their continued guidance and dedication! In fact, shout out to coach Pam for winning “Coach of the Year” at the competition! Pam had two teams participating at the competition, Red Oaks and an additional team.
