Today, 12 Red Oaks 7th and 8th grade students participated in a day-long workshop (via Zoom) hosted by Gill St. Bernard's School. This summit, "Middle School Equity & Inclusion Summit," engages 150 students from 15 schools and is the creation of Dr. Rodney Glasgow, the current Head of School at Sandy Spring Friends School in Sandy Spring, MD.

"Dr. Glasgow is very engaging. Students are assigned to breakout rooms in pods of 2-3 ROS students with students from other schools. Prior to the Summit, students engaged in pre-conference activities that included reading, viewing and reflecting on the challenges they see in their own schools," explained Nichole Liese, Red Oaks middle school faculty member.
