And, just like that, we’re up and running with our new school year! This week was our first full week of classes. Students are happy, engaged, and confident in their new classroom routines. Backpacks and lunchboxes are lined up at each cubby providing a colorful backdrop for students and faculty as they move about from classrooms to recess. The mood of The Red Oaks School can only be described as energetic, joyful, and busy!
Overheard in the hallway at Cutler: “It’s as if this is the 100th day of school. The classrooms are humming. Everyone is very busy.”
Our entire Middle School left for the annual team building and bonding overnight experience at Frost Valley YMCA Camp in the Catskill Mountains of New York. Students and faculty turn off the electronics to tune in to the 5,500 acres of wildlife, adventure, and outdoor education. There’s something for everyone at Frost Valley. Stay tuned for next week’s recap and pictures of this exceptional yearly experience!
