Program Itinerary

Montessori schools are well known for their ability to take children where they are (academically, socially) and move them along a continuum of learning that is both enjoyable and productive! In our summer program, your young children will become Montessori students as they explore sensorial materials, practical life activities, early numeracy, and pre-reading and writing skills with Red Oaks Primary classroom teacher Ms. Chantal. They will learn more about the world around them, increase their own ability to act independently, and adopt the “grace and courtesy” that Montessori students are known for. Playground time and nature walks will abound!

Mondays – Music
Children will make music using body percussion and rhythm instruments. They will engage in song games and movement activities to develop rhythmic control and spatial awareness.

Tuesdays – Dance
Led by South Street Dance, children will be introduced to the fundamentals of dance and musical theater. They will learn performance skills to build confidence and creativity.

Wednesdays – Karate
New Jersey Martial Arts Academy will have children moving and exercising their bodies as they learn some basic karate techniques. Classes will focus on gross motor skills, coordination, and following directions.

Thursdays – Movement
Through structured play and movement activities, children will develop a strong mind and body connection. Fun and engaging interactive games will promote brain development, effective sensory processing, and school-readiness.

Fridays – Art
Exploring numerous media and techniques, children will cultivate their artistic ability. They will use their imagination and respond to the world around them as they learn to create meaningful artwork.
